My thing is messaging. I like to find the deeper meaning, string the words together just right, and create the perfect storm – that one combination that just clicks with the audience in a way that gets them moving.
Sometimes, that involves making slides.
Unfortunately, I am absolutely not a designer. I mean, I’m surprised I passed art class. (I’m also self-diagnosed as color blind because I absolutely can not determine orange from red if they’re next to each other).
I’m lucky I live in 2016 where there is an app, a program, a website and a team of trusty VA’s for alllllll that.
When it comes to my presentations, I like to make my own slides. Especially when I’m making lots of presentations, and optimizing them as I go. For that reason, I love love looovvve Canva.
I’ve used Canva for a while now, but I hadn’t used it for slide design until recently. It makes it so easy to design a slide that is completely branded, and then it’s also very easy to save the theme in Keynote so that I can use it over and over again, with very little set up time required (great for tweaking webinars, or making new content).
Since the slide deck is always a hot topic, I thought you’d appreciate learning about this absolutely free resource. So, I decided to show you how it works. Take a look.
